Nutribio has a fully equipped in house laboratory for testing minerals to ensure products are produced to the highest standards and within EU guidelines.

Traceability, hygiene, zero cross-contamination and safety assurance are key components of the Nutribio Quality control system. Nutribio was one of the first manufacturers of vitamin/mineral supplements for the feed industry to become registered to ISO 9002 in 1993.

In 2005 Nutribio moved their system to the UFAS scheme which has been developed over the last five years as a result of the Food Safety Act to ensure the exercise of due diligence throughout the food chain. UFAS covers the production and delivery of compound feeds and the supply of feed materials to the farm.

The current labelling legislation for complementary feedingstuffs is Regulation (EC) is 767/2009 which comes into force next September. The old marketing legislation (373/1979/EC) is repealed.

The current labelling legislation for premixtures is Regulation (EC) No 1831/2003.
